Sorry for the lack of posts in recent days, but there really hasn't been much of anything to talk about lately. I did start a new job last week and now I get a taste for just how AWFUL traffic in Lake County is. I can't believe people are happy with just having these stupid little two lane roads throughout and dealing with gridlock during the morning and afternoon rush hours...
I used to only have to commute from Volo to North Barrington. Well, North Barrington is now NorthBROOK and it stinks! I do have a Metra option but there's so much wasted time that it certainly doesn't save me anything other than the headache of being stuck in bumper to bumper traffic on either Peterson or 60 or 120. People who say that expanding 53 will only make things worse are WRONG WRONG WRONG!! At least it'd get more people off these arterials. And I just don't understand why these roads aren't widened. DuPage certainly didn't have a problem making most of its streets 4 lanes!
