Last week's Volo Plan Commission meeting agenda made reference to a proposed "food service building" with a "single drive-thru lane" at the corner of Route 12 and Hartigan Rd, on the northernmost outlot of Home Depot, next to AutoZone. I love how cryptic these agendas are where they give you no clue about what it might be. With Wendy's across the street and a McDonald's right down the road, I'm pretty certain it's neither of those. Possibly Burger King, Arbys!, Subway, Quizno's? It's too small a lot for a Portillo's, but what a win that would be!
In other commerce news, the Plan Commission approved the Consumers Credit Union at last month's meeting. Consumer Co-op will be constructed at 120 and Ellis Roads.
