Very disappointing result from the 120 council.

The final solution, which is a 4 lane boulevard (with either traffic signals and/or roundabouts, will double the travel time for Volo residents from Rt 12/120 to I-94 in comparison to the 6 lane highway proposal.

Per newspaper articles, it sounded like Gurnee and Volo voted against the 4 lane boulevard.

So basically, the county/state will spend $700 million, with construction not anticipated to begin for 6-10 years (per newspapers), for a solution with stop lights and roundabouts?

Better than nothing obviously, but this solution seems to be what Lake County needed in the 1990s-2000s, not for 2020 and beyond.
