Aldi applying for liquor license

I found it interesting that Aldi has applied for a Class C liquor license (allowing liquor to be sold (not consumed) on premises). I've never seen liquor at Aldi before, particularly because most Aldi stores are too small. Although when I think about it, Aldi would be a great place to buy those holiday gift sets with the bottle and either a martini glass, or shot glass, or some other accessory. A bit late for this year, I suppose! :-)

Speaking of drugs and alcohol, it has been a rough 2 months for Terra Springs and Terra Firma Lane in particular.

Per public records and Chicagoland newspaper sources, during the past 2 months, Terra Springs (especially Terra Firma Lane) residents seem to have accomplished the following:

4 Bankruptcy
6 Foreclosures
1 Divorce
1 Resisting Arrest/Assault on Officer
1 Charged with alleged drug induced homicide

I mean how many buildings are even on Terra Firma Lane? This is approximately 2.16 buildings worth of residents.

There are 70 units on Terra Firma. 10 buildings with 6 units each and 2 buidlings with 5 units.

I would be reasonably certain that bankruptcies, foreclosures and divorces are happening on many other streets besides Terra Firma Lane :)

Rob - I agree many of these things happen on other streets in any town of course.

However, the more important point is that based on your calculations, that would be almost 20% of the units on Terra Firma within only 2 months. Based on the public records, if you take it back approximately 1 year, you can add multiple DUI offenses, misc. other arrests, etc., which based on your calculations likely total at least 40% of the units.

Oh, and don't forget the other Terra Firma Lane resident(s) (from your site that you said lived across from you) from Feb/Mar 2007 that were charged in Lake County with perjury in a criminal trial.

The list goes on and on...to be continued???
